Amazon Web Services (AWS) has closed new customer access to several of its cloud services, including AWS Cloud9, AWS CodeCommit, Amazon S3 Select, Amazon S3 Glacier Select, Amazon CloudSearch, Amazon Forecast, and AWS Data Pipeline. Existing customers can continue using these services without any changes. AWS has provided guidance on transitioning to alternative services, such as moving from AWS CodeCommit to other Git providers or from Amazon CloudSearch to Amazon OpenSearch Service. The closures were effective immediately as of late July. AWS assures that current features and security for existing users will remain unchanged.
