IBM and Microsoft have announced an enhanced cybersecurity collaboration aimed at simplifying and modernizing security operations for organizations adopting hybrid cloud and AI technologies. This partnership combines IBM Consulting’s cybersecurity services with Microsoft’s extensive security technology portfolio to provide comprehensive solutions for clients. The initiative focuses on accelerating threat detection and response through IBM’s Threat Detection and Response (TDR) Cloud Native service, integrating Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Additionally, the collaboration aims to streamline cloud identity management using Microsoft Entra® tools enhanced by IBM’s automation and industry expertise. Both companies are also investing in joint go-to-market initiatives and reskilling programs to support these new offerings and elevate cybersecurity in cloud and AI environments.
